Is the Benelli Nova Pump shotgun really worth the $

So I have been shooting the Remington 870 and the Mossberg 500 for years. Is the nova worth the money? Is Benelli just charging $400 because they can or is it because its worth it?
I have only shot the nova a few time but I have friends who own this shotgun.
Everyone I know who bought this was looking Benelli quality in there pump shot gun. Most weren't disappointed with the results. There is just something about this gun that the 870 and 500 are lacking.
ERGONOMICS!!!
You may think that most shot gun are ergonomic enough. At least thats me. There is just something about the nova that when you pick it up you it begs to be shot. I think that with Benelli's great performance in the semi-auto line of gun that a pump would be the opposite of where they would go. Were they just looking to make a new product or was it perfection of the already great pump shotgun.
I think that Benelli kind of reverse engineered there way to the pump. I think that they started with a semi-auto shotgun a just kind of changed it? What the heck it worked the Benelli Nova is so light recoiling and so easy to use its not even funny.
Benelli started with the Nova and quickly changed to the Super Nova (which sold more). I really don't know the difference (If you know tell me).
In conclusion I would say that the Nova wouldn't is never going to surpass the Remington 870(my favorite of the three) or the Mossberg 500 simply because it is in that range where the 870 and 500 are cheaper and better for the new shotgunners. The best "class" I would put this in is where the guy who is really attached to the pump platform. But still wants a high performance shotgun that lasts.

I give this gun a 7 out of 10 for what it is.
